Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is a Romanian actress and television presenter. Her most well-known work is the protagonist of Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control, and Rush. As the sole children of Romanian actor Valentin Platareanu Alexandra stepped into the show business at an early age and was performing lead roles in various shows on television by the time she reached the age of 16. Her critically acclaimed performance in the television film made for TV Der Tunnel paved way for other notable roles including that of Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge in the commercially and critically profitable Oscar nominated war-time drama film Downfall. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are the other Oscar nominated features featuring models. Through the years, Alexandra has been involved in a variety of important international and national productions. The British biographical feature Control, the Greek drama The Dust of Time, as well as the French historic mini-series Napoleon include among those. She also remained member of the jury of the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
